"In the 80's, my mom had a snake..."
...and I'm back.
The only reason I have been on so much this week is because I have been spending my entire hour off each day in the counselor lounge trying (TRYING) to get a hold of ACC so I can change my address. Yesterday, today and two days last week. I have tried SEVERAL numbers I have found on paperwork and the website and A) they don't work at all or B) there is no way for me to talk to a real person. Needless to say I am SUPER FRUSTRATED. I honestly do not have time to fool with this. But I just sent an email so we'll see if that works.
Today, we were at the nature center, and the girl was talking about snakes. So one of my girls goes, "In the 80's, my mom had a snake. She used to wear it as a bracelet." It was amazing.
Sonic drink of the day: Mango Slush. I stole some of Kerri's last night. Trust me, it's legit.
Also, today at lunch I was eating a salad, and I spilled it all over my lap. I spilled A SALAD. WHO DOES THAT?! Me, apparently. I laughed really hard. :)
Don't worry, we won the Spirit Stick. And when I say WE, I mean us an our sister cabin, Lewisville. A combined effort known as H-Ville that has taken Sky 2 by storm. I'm totally diggin' it, as are our girls. We have a SWEET handshake that I will try to film and show you later. Speaking of FILMING, I have videos for you! Be excited:
Yesterday at the Jumping Pillow, we ran out of jumping. So we made a cabin cheer video instead:
Don't worry. We have more cheers that I'll show you later.
After this, I thought it would be fun to share some LHS culture with my cabin. Singers, please enjoy H-Hut's rendition of "Wah-Doo:"

Last night after XYZ Games, we had a deck party with Tuskegee (our brother cabin) and Lewisville. At the begining of this video you will have no idea what is going on, but give it a few seconds and please be REALLY JEALOUS of our Taylor Swift dance party:
And this morning we had Pendulum. You know you love camp.
Never fear, I'm taking plenty of pictures too (MOM), but no time to upload them all currently. Maybe tomorrow night after CMD or this weekend.
SPEAKING OF- I forgot to write about last weeks CMD. It was wonderful. We went to her house and she cooked us dinner (which was fabulous) and we started off talking about different characteristics of God and somehow ended up talking about loving on people and topics that pretty much summed up my entire last semester. I talked about Singers a lot, because that's what I do when I'm not talking about camp. I'm not so sure how to sum it all up, because 1) it was last Wednesday, and I can't remember everything that was said and 2) there was so much that I can't even organize it all to write it for you. But I know I would love to share it with you if I could remember. :)
And we circled up to pray before dinner last night, and one of my girls said a really neat prayer. And I remember thinking, "That is awesome, I want to write about that." but of course now I can't remember. :( So sorry, it really was neat.
And I got a new perspective on homesick campers today while eating lunch with some Sky 1 counselors. I have to go back to my kids, so I will have to tell you about this in a later post. I'm only putting this here now to remind myself to do it later.
